"While the game of Cricket has a long and rich history, the Garda Cricket Club is realtively in its infancy."

The Garda Cricket Club was founded in August 1985, mainly among members of C.D.U. and S.D.U. The club has enjoyed a successful but eventful time since the club's maiden fixture all those years ago. For years a mainstay in the Leinster Cricket Union Junior leagues, today the club participates at both a Taverners and social level.
